Dear Club Members,
We are excited to share an update on the status of our golf course for the upcoming 2025 season. After thoughtful deliberation and discussions with the Town of Wellfleet and the Friends of Herring River, the Club’s Herring River Restoration Committee (HRRC) has recommended keeping the course open for 2025, with plans to begin construction in the late fall of that year. While significant progress has been made, crucial aspects are still being negotiated. Moreover, we are mindful of environmental considerations, such as the nesting periods which can restrict work elements.
Assuming these details are resolved as planned, we anticipate closing the course in fall 2025 to initiate construction. We’ll continue to keep you updated on any developments.
